I believe in the Bible as God’s inspired word. (2 Timothy 3:16) I believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation. (Acts 4:12) We have all sinned and are in need of a Savior. (Rom 3:23) Those who believe in the Savior are His Bride, the Church, and the Temple of the Holy Spirit. He has given each believer spiritual gifts to use for the edification of the Church. The Spirit also works in every believer, producing spiritual fruit, and apart from Him we can bear no fruit. God has given us His word to reveal Himself to us, and we cannot understand it apart from the Spirit who guides us into all truth (John 16:13), teaches us (John 14:26), and brings spiritual discernment (1 Corinthians 2:10-14). I believe righteousness comes by faith and faith comes through hearing and hearing by the word of Christ. (Rom 3:21-22, Rom 10:17)

I come from a Baptist background and this link is helpful for understanding the Baptist Faith and Message: http://www.sbc.net/bfm2000/bfm2000.asp

Although I now attend a Bible Church (www.nwbc.org) I find the Reformed tradition to be more in line with my beliefs: https://www.crcna.org/welcome/beliefs

Obviously, the above information is a snap shot of my beliefs, but I’ve found these particular beliefs to be most important.
